Vivian Cao
Details
Vivian leads the antitrust practice of Lang Yue.
Vivian advises multinational and Chinese clients on the competition law regime in China and has extensive experience in transactional and compliance advisory work on Chinese merger control and behavioural antitrust investigation matters, covering a broad range of industry sectors. She has worked on a number of high-profile global transactions (with remedies) from the earliest stages of China antitrust enforcement.
Amid complex and ever-changing international dynamics and increasing regulatory challenges for overseas investments, Vivian advises large Chinese enterprises on their "go global" strategies. She expertly navigates highly challenging issues related to multi-jurisdictional antitrust and national security matters.
Her expertise also includes advising on novel antitrust issues in China concerning monopoly agreements and abuse of dominance, which are now subject to stricter antitrust regulation, especially in the TMT, FMCG and healthcare sectors.
Vivian was awarded "40 Under 40" by Global Competition Review 2020, and has been recognised by a number of key legal directories in the Competition/Antitrust category in China, including Chambers, Legal500 and Who's Who Legal for many years.
